Reading a non fiction book gives an opportunity to dive deeper into one persons thoughts. While it might be truth that many books are overly long and practically could have been summarized into single blog post without loosing the point (who knows, maybe authors are getting payed by amount of pages, not the quality) - there are still books worth reading. On the examples are “Thinking, fast and slow”. This is the book that is very other quoted by other authors and never gets old (not yet at least).

Constantly learning mindset

There are many smart people out there that are ready to share their knowledge and thoughts. New ideas are coming in, or old ones - popularized. Books are one of the most comprehensive ways of gaining knowledge about certain topics due to reason that single books contain only the topic we are interested in. Choosing what books to read

In contrary to no reading books at all - reading can become excessive and non advantageous. How do we choose books? Do we just read them because friends recommended or the ones that are popular? Chance to talk to a person

I’ts not often we could meet truly smart and remarkable people such as ourselves and talk to them about the topics we want to, just have a dialogue. Well, if we can’t have a meeting with a person - book could be something as close as we could get to a dialogue. Often a person, who writes a books - put his whole life’s knowledge about a certain topic that could be like a whole universe to be explored page by page. It would give much broader knowledge and information than a YouTube video attempting to describe the same topic within one hour.
